David Chiesa double bass

Michel Doneda soprano sax.
These four artists have already collaborated together on various projects and know each other artistically very well. What unites them is a poetic sharing of space and time. A place where sound, light and movement can unfold in their own individuality, guided only by intense listening. Then, within each of us, the vortex of our perceptions is activated, the raw animality where our reptilian brain finds its first sensations. Li-Ping Ting (dance) is an interdisciplinary artist born in Taiwan. Her artistic work is a process of exchange with local people, dealing with issues such as interpersonal relationships, questioning the body and transforming the mind. Michel Doneda (soprano saxophone) has developed one of the most extensive musical vocabularies in free improvisation. His music, from the highest manifestations of his instrumental performance, gives us an understanding of his own skeleton through which the wind flows. David Chiesa (double bass) has been active on the international improvisation scene since 1997. His work as an improviser is intimately linked with other practices such as dance, poetry, experimental film or light, the visual arts or theatre. A self-taught artist, Christophe Cardoen (lighting) has been making machines and installations for the last twenty years in a wide variety of locations: theatres, squats, galleries, museums, schools, abandoned sites, gardens, cellars, in theatres, etc.
